Message from Our President:

Hi! My name is Jenn Burnham, and I am thrilled to be the President of the J Turner Hood School Parents’ Association. I am so proud of everything we have accomplished since my oldest started at the Hood in 2019, and I’m looking forward to another wonderful year! We have so many fun events and activities planned, including our 3rd annual Fun Run, Boo Bash, Holiday Shop, and so much more. Of course, the most exciting event happening at the Hood will be the construction of our brand new playground…..yayyyyy!!! 

I currently have three children at the Hood. My oldest son J.J. is in Mrs. Hogan’s 4th grade class. My son James is in 2nd grade in Mrs. Sherman’s class, and my daughter Julianna is in 1st grade in Mrs. Arone’s class. I also have a 2 1/2-year-old son Joey, who gets to tag along, so I’m sure you’ll see him at some point! 

I decided to join the Hood PA because I wanted to contribute to my children’s school, make connections within the school community, and help build upon existing programs while creating new ones. I can truly say being a part of the PA has enabled me to do all of these things and more! No longer teaching, this also got me back in the school community in a new and different way.

I can't wait to see all we accomplish together this year. There are many ways to be involved with the PA – join our monthly meetings (when you can), sign up to volunteer, donate.
